Keep Privacy Policy

Keep is a daily word game from Resolvent Technologies, Inc. There is no account and no sign-in. The app sends anonymous gameplay events so we can see how the puzzles play and make them better.

What we collect

• When you open the app: the app version, iOS or Android and its version, the device model identifier (such as "iPhone15,2"), your language and region setting, your time zone, and a country code taken from your language setting (not from your location).
• When you play: the puzzle number, the letters you tried to keep (including tries that were not words), the word you kept, how many tries and how many seconds it took, whether it was a perfect keep, and when you tap Share.
• With each event: a random ID the app creates the first time it runs and stores on your phone, a random ID for each time you open the app, and the time the event was recorded.

We do not collect your name, email, contacts or location, your device's name, or any advertising ID. The app asks for no permissions. The events do not include your IP address, though, like any internet service, our database provider sees it when the app connects. The app has no ads.

Your finished puzzles are saved on your phone so the app can show your results. They are not linked to an account and do not sync between devices.

How we use it

To understand how the puzzles play (which are too hard or too easy, where people get stuck) and to fix problems. We do not sell this data or use it for advertising.

Where it is stored

Events are stored with Supabase, our database provider. The app can add events but cannot read them back.

Sharing your result

When you tap Share, the app creates a short message with the puzzle number and dots showing how many letters you kept, not which ones. It goes only where you choose to send it.

How long we keep it, and deleting it

We keep gameplay events for as long as they help us improve the game. Because the events are not tied to your name or an account, and the app's random ID is not shown anywhere, we usually cannot pick out your events. Deleting the app removes the ID and your saved results from your phone and stops any further events. If you have a question about your data, email support@resolventtech.com.

Children

Keep is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children; the events described above are anonymous.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the effective date.
