RailVantage
RailVantage Support
RailVantage is the field app for railcar site crews: log gate-ins, loading and unloading, inspections and cover sheets at your site, even without a signal.
For help, email support@resolventtech.com. Include the email address you sign in with and, if something went wrong, the car number and roughly when it happened.
Common questions
How do I get an account?
Accounts are by invitation only. Your company's RailVantage administrator sends the invitation to your work email. There is no public sign-up.
I can't sign in.
Make sure you are using the email address your invitation was sent to. If you have forgotten your password or your account has been switched off, contact your company's RailVantage administrator, or email us.
What happens when I have no signal?
Site events and cover sheets are saved on your phone and sent automatically once you are back online and signed in. If you delete the app before they send, they are lost, so let them finish first.
Do I have to share my location?
No. The app asks once, to record where a car was when you logged it. If you say no, everything still saves, just without a location.
Delete your account
To delete your RailVantage account, email support@resolventtech.com from the address on your account with the subject "Delete my RailVantage account". You can also ask your company's RailVantage administrator to do it. We will confirm when it is done.
What is deleted
- Your ability to sign in to the app and to railvantage.io.
- If you have not submitted any work records: your account itself, your sign-in account with Clerk (our sign-in provider), your access permissions, and any unused password-reset codes.
- Anything stored on your phone, once you delete the app.
What may be kept
- Work records you submitted (site events, cover sheets, repair requests, inspections and photos) belong to the company you did the work for. They stay part of that company's records, showing you as the person who recorded them. In that case we switch your account off instead of erasing it: you can no longer sign in, and your name and email stay attached to those records so the history is accurate.
- Your company decides how long its records are kept, and it may have its own legal or business reasons to keep them.
- A short internal log entry noting that the account was deleted, and by whom.
